food!!!

Burmese food is fantastic! They make tofu out of chick peas. The result is amazing.

Quick googling turns up on-line discussions about how much trouble people have trying to make the chick pea tofu at home. The actual technique is a closely-held Myanmar secret, I guess.

So what am I going to do, other than drag my butt to Allston all the time?

Hey, Allston is closer than Burma, and I bet it's easier to park there too, even with all the BU students.

Glad you enjoyed it. YoMa is one of my favorite restaurants.

I liked the Burmese food I had in Oakland a while ago. They even served some okra that I almost actively enjoyed. (Some people refer to okra as "slickum that goes down quickum," but I have more disparaging ways of describing how it's usually served in the south.)
