a big exciting day for Baby Sophia!

chhotiiToday was her first outing-- a first trip to the pediatrician's office. Lots of new sights and experiences (such as snow).
We got the wonderful news that, after having lost a bunch of weight, she has started to gain weight again and is back within a couple of ounces of her birthweight. Woo-hoo! This means that the breastfeeding is going okay, so I need not be so fretful about that.
I'm happy with my choice of pediatrician. She suggested that I be laid-back about the schedule on which Sophia nurses, letting her let me know when she's hungry rather than trying to wake her up to eat on some schedule, which seems quite enlightened.
Sophia is sleeping, having had quite a bit of excitement today. I, on the other hand, am rather bored.
