Date: 2007-07-02 01:30 am (UTC)But that's after doing a lot more than just praying. We called NPIC many times, contacted congresscritters, we read long blogs about other people's experiences, looking for tips, called the processing center in NH directly... I don't know which of these things did the trick. It's pretty certain that had we not done anything, we would not have the passport.
When is your travel date? Do you want my confirmation # for my appointment at the Tip O'Neill building, July 9th at 9:30 am? They can make passports on the spot, but it's really hard to get an appointment. Especially an appointment that is BEFORE you're scheduled to leave. (They might give you some hassle that your SSN#, zip code, and # of family members don't match what I put in when I made the appt., but you could probably bluff it and say "I entered WHAT? Oh, I get so flumouxed by these phone menus..." and they probably won't send you away, especially if you can present an itinerary showing that you are travelling soon.)

Date: 2007-07-02 02:37 pm (UTC)I'm still waiting for some last minute responses on cargo van shares; currently, it's only half full and I'll be either canceling it or downgrading to a smaller rental vanlike thing at 6pm if I don't hear back from people. The pile of stuff that I'm responsible for moving at this point *might* fit in your Golf, but it's unlikely enough that such is Plan C rather than Plan B.

Date: 2007-07-02 03:29 pm (UTC)We will be leaving the Scion with you, because the 5 of us, with luggage, will not fit in the Golf. Whether it would be cool to take the Scion to VT; umm, ask me again after 6pm, by which time it will either be Plan B or moot, right? Of course, I could hand you a key to the Golf as well.
