This is cool. I'm up, caffeinated, ready to think about what to do today... and it's only 7:09 am.

I would say "Yay for fall back", but I know the downside is coming in the spring... a lot of "ARGH, I just managed to pry my sleepy eyes open and it's already after 9:00!" in the spring.

Need to find a nice planet with days just a little longer than 24 hours, so I can just fall back, fall back, fall back, and never spring forward. Damn, where did I file that planet catalog? (This one is getting too infested with SUV-driving Republicans anyway.)

Many years ago, I attended a week-long UU youth conference where the organizers had read that the natural circadian rhythm is about 28 hours, so they ran the event on a 28-hour clock. (The event was entirely run by the youth.) At midweek we were having events at midnight and sleeping during the day, and at the end of the week we had wrapped around to a normal cycle. Needless to say, the success of this experiment was decidedly mixed. I have always suspected that they did it in order to save the cost of a day's worth of food.
