Have e-mailed my letter to Mr. Florence of the BLM regarding uranium mining near the Grand Canyon. Upon reading the newsletter, it seems that they are spinning this as proposed approval of Alternative B, continued withdrawal of the area from allowed mining, which is what we want. The "do-nothing" plan would be Alternative A, which would allow restrictions on mining to lapse, which would suck iff actually wants to do the mining. So I edited my letter, toning down the rage, turning it more into "Yes! Do it! Approve Alternative B!" rather than "No! Don't do it! Don't approve Alternative A!"

Now, back to working on things that are actually within my power to effect...
