The last straw with Boston Sports Club? The discovery that even with my membership frozen they are still charging me $15 per month. Fifteen dollars for nothing??? I could treat myself to a new dumbbell per month at Sports Authority. Not that $15 is much money... if you're actually getting anything for your $15. I called them up, completely irate (you're charging me monthly... for nothing???) and cancelled my membership when they didn't volunteer to budge on this issue. ("It's in the service agreement. Sorry you didn't notice that.") I can't believe they feel that they can get away with this, when there are many other options in the world for getting exercise.

I never did use up the expensive personal trainer sessions that I had paid for, but time to stop throwing good money after bad. *sigh*
