mooching some moving help
May. 28th, 2014 05:29 amIn the midst of all this, I am in the process of moving from one apartment to another in Brookline.
Actually, it's slightly more complicated than that. ( Read more... ) But never mind all that complication.
I have a few items of furniture that I can't tackle myself. The dining table and the six-foot-wide shelving unit need to be moved either this evening (Wednesday), or Saturday morning. I think the dining table could be lifted by a couple of strong people. It's small but very heavy because the base consists of shelving, so I can't lift it onto a luggage cart. The shelving unit needs to be tipped down, disassembled, carried over in pieces, re-assembled at the new place, and tipped back up. Some of you may have been here for the initial assembly of the shelving unit and remember that process.
Oh yeah, the apartments are in buildings that are next door to each other. So I do not need a truck.
Any volunteers?
