I'm kind of tempted to go see the re-make of "The Day the Earth Stood Still"

Although Rich would be horrified by this idea, I'm sure.

The Metro said something like Keanu Reeves actually being the best thing about the movie. Maybe they meant that every other aspect was so horribly bad.

I saw it today. It wasn't bad, not eve close to being worst movie i've ever seen. I actually liked it

i saw it the other day. ironic with the ice storm.

there were quite a few good bits, however, i can't say i "get" the ending. very open. very "part 2" available. very unsatisfying as an ending, but the 2 hours leading to it was okay.

so, if you can spare 2 hours, and a matinee ticket, see it.

i would imagine the extended length dvd with bonus features, and after it's been out for 5-6 months and dropped to under $10 is better :)

I'll wait for Netflix. Admittedly, I have a VERY low tolerance for remakes that completely change the central thrust of the story being told.
