Some items I am taking to Arisia:
Tasty Bite chick pea packets
a rice cooker
a big bag of rice
carrots
favorite carrot peeler
can of green beans
can opener
canned salmon
pears
dried apricots
pineapple juice in little cans
freeze-dried raspberries (a.k.a. CRACK)
salted freeze-dried green beans (these might be unspeakably nasty, jury is still out...)
multigrain tortilla chips
seaweed snack (Sophia begged for this one...)
bread (2 kinds)
sliced cheese
hard-boiled eggs
little UHT milk boxes
box of healthy cereal
tiny box of Fruit Loops
instant oatmeal
nuts
chocolate peanut butter
chocolate-covered Espresso beans
Take that, nasty over-priced hotel restaurants! I am so done with you!

Date: 2012-01-15 09:47 pm (UTC)Tasty Bite chick pea packets-- OMG so good and useful! Used 2 packets (with some sharing with ceo's family).
a rice cooker & a big bag of rice-- OMG so useful!!!! However, before next year, must get used to using it, and familiar with just how long it takes for the rice cooker to cook.
carrots & favorite carrot peeler-- Amusingly, the carrots froze (in the ceo family fridge) and Sophia and Benjamin thought that frozen carrot "popsicles" were great.
can of green beans-- not used
canned salmon & can opener-- useful
pears-- these started to get squishy and I threw them away.
dried apricots-- useful (1/2 of bag consumed)
pineapple juice in little cans-- really useful, bring more next time
freeze-dried raspberries-- 1/2 consumed
salted freeze-dried green beans-- untouched
multigrain tortilla chips-- useful, consumed just a few
seaweed snack-- eaten up all gone
bread (2 kinds)-- useful to have both sandwich bread and one of Sophia's favorites; probably used just over one loaf's worth
sliced cheese-- quite useful, 3/4 consumed
hard-boiled eggs-- useful, used 3, maybe would've used more if I managed to get mustard/mayo/relish packets to make egg salad
little UHT milk boxes-- useful, BRING MORE NEXT TIME. Used up 4 within 24 hours.
box of healthy cereal-- not touched (maybe would've if the milk had held out)
tiny box of Fruit Loops-- surprisingly (!) Sophia did not like these. I ate the Fruit Loops (but didn't enjoy them).
instant oatmeal-- 2 packets used
nuts-- not touched
chocolate peanut butter-- useful, but next time, I would prefer the kind of peanut butter that doesn't separate at room temp.
chocolate-covered Espresso beans-- useful for the severe coffee addiction; consumed a few.
butter-- useful, but, apparently ConSuite had those little food-service butter packets? Do they always? Single servings of butter would've been more manageable (and avoided the Benjamin Pokemon butter incident).
Also, next year: bowls, plates, paper towels, forks, spoons.
