oh, the joys of public transportation

Taking the 39 bus sucked this morning. There must have been a transient black hole consuming busses at Forest Hills this morning, because we saw 12 busses going towards Forest Hills in the 40 minutes we were waiting for a bus coming from FH. I had forgotten the importance of bringing something to read at the bus stop, so it was a complete waste of time. I prefer taking the bicycle to work-- hands-down, the fastest way for me to get in. But I didn't want the hairdresser to see me with helmet head today. Even walking is better. Takes a while, but at least I get some exercise at the same time. I thought there wasn't time to walk to work today, but I could have walked to the lab and back in the time it took to catch the bus.
