Packing takes an inordinate amount of time, because I have to take time for all these inner debates. Such as:

Me: Hey, that's clutter. Don't pack that shopping bag and those empty shoeboxes, throw them away.
Me2: What??? Such a nice sturdy shopping bag. And perfectly good shoeboxes. These could come in handy some day.
Me: When? And what evidence is there of that?
Me2: Shoeboxes always come in handy! It's common knowledge that shoeboxes are useful.
Me: Then why aren't I using them?
Me2: I just having gotten around to like... you know, organize things the right way. When I get around to it, I'll need the shoeboxes.
Me: Am I going to get around to this fabled organization task before or after I get around to buying new shoes to replace this pile of crappy worn-out shoes which are collecting dust because haven't worn them since... hmm.... maybe I can throw some of these away too...
Me2: (panicked) OK, OK! I'm throwing out the shoeboxes. Just back off from the shoes. See, I'm throwing them away now. Sheesh.

Then after this stressful interaction with myself, I have to sit down for a bit.

Then there's the ADHD part.... "Oh, I have to read all these magazines so I'll know which ones to throw out, then i have to organize all of them... Hmm, That means I need to build a wooden crate that's just right to store them in... Hm, time to rebuild the table saw.
