whine, I mean wine, and a poll

This just spotted: an ad for low-carb wine. Oh my god! What is the world coming to!

Speaking of wine. We have a bottle of non-alcoholic red wine. It's lousy wine, but it occurred to me that it might make decent sangria for the party. Before I go begging skreeky for her fabulous sangria recipe, what do y'all think of the idea of non-alcoholic sangria?

A) Pointless.
B) Yummy!
C) Eh, I'm not a sangria drinker anyway.

B) I'd try it. I love fruit punch.

It gets worse: Low-carb bagels. Essentially toroidal Wonder bread.

That's bizarre.

but wonder bread has carbs. or is this toroidal low-carb wonder bread?

(IMHO bread is a necessary food.)

Its consistency is like that of Wonder Bread. Which is, of course, Ludicrously Wrong for bagels. (Bagels are ordinarily about as high-carb as bread gets.)

Aha! I already have skreeky's sangria recipe!
(Here's a hint: the wine is so not the limiting factor...)

Uh, limiting factor? *confuzzled*

Rich thinks that sangria has other alcoholic ingredients, other than just the wine. Brandy? Triple Sec?

C. I really don't like sangria.

A variation of 'A': it's an active waste of perfectly good fruit. Yeech. Real wine, please.

I will happily drink it. :-)

I love fruity stuff. (Just remind me it's there, or I will assume it is alcoholic and therefore not drink it.)

Uh. A little weird. But Jon could drink it. (He's on hiatus from booze.)

Good sangria needs to start with a good fruity wine that isn't too complex or tannic. Usually, if you wouldn't drink the wine, you shouldn't cook with it (or make sangria with it). But all you lose by trying is a bit of fruit juice and club soda. If it sucketh, pour it out.
