beer bubbles

We
need
beer
bottles!
Sweetie's enthusiasm for brewing beer knows no bounds. At least, it knows not the bounds of the available bottles. Now that he's accumulated enough bottles for the five-gallon batch, he's started a second, overlapping batch.
Please save your empties for us! If you want them back, with new beer, that's cool. Sweetie is motivated more the urge to create than by the urge to drink the finished product.
A related note... over our dinner of homemade pizza and home-brewed beer last night, I commented that if we started making our own cheese, I'd start to worry. Well, today we stumbled across goat's milk in the grocery store, and Sweetie said, hmmm, feta? Heh.

Date: 2003-03-16 08:10 pm (UTC)You know, this is where the Pondscumme rule of "don't throw away anything in the fridge that isn't yours, even if it's disgusting" came from, right? He got pissed off that his rotten "cheese making" milk kept getting thrown out, because it was separated and chunky and was smelling up the house through the closed bottle. He couldn't believe that when the recipe said "sour milk" it just meant SOUR milk, not rotten chunky milk.
Heh heh heh... bet the beer tastes better than the cheese will.
I'll set whatever bottles I have aside, though we're currently working our way through a case of Mike's Hard Lemonade. Will those bottles do, ya think? Same size but clear glass.
