MOTD (from my e-mail service provider):
A fire on I-95 has disrupted both the GlobalNAPs and the CoreTel
networks in the Northeast Corridor, interfering with dialup service
in the NY Metro area. We don't yet have any ETA on repairs but will
keep you posted.

I like the mental image of some poor harried traffic cop, white gloves
and all, standing at a router with a breakout of manual switches,
waving packets on to Port 1, then Port 2, waving that priority ICMP
message through, pulling the occasional one over for being
misframed...
