chicken pox

Sophia has the most mild case of chicken pox ever seen on this planet. She had the shots, so she's nearly immune to it, but not completely. This phenomenon is called "breakthrough chicken pox". She's had 2 (that's right, just 2) pox that I'm sure are actual chicken pox lesions, plus some really little red spots I'm not sure of. She felt itchy for just a couple of hours, and never got a fever. Nonetheless, she's considered contagious, and thus got sent home from preschool on Friday. We are hoping for a return to preschool on Monday.

Today sounds like a wonderful day for a Chicken Pox party with other kids! Of course, the parents of the other kids will have to be prepared...

Interesting, I didn't know that could happen. Does that mean she's fully immune now and doesn't need the immunization boosters evey 10 years?
