are you registered as an independent/unenrolled? i get a lot of republican spam because i'm unenrolled.

How odd; I'm also unenrolled, and I get nothing either way except for a small handful of glossy smear flyers right before each election, usually relating to local stuff.

As for the original question, my guess is that since you're on the public record as the sort of person who gives money to political campaigns, maybe it's worth seeing if you'll support theirs this year? (I certainly know people who mostly identify with the Democratic party who are voting McCain this time around, for reasons however dubious.)
