the hazards of posting to suspects

The hazard I expected: Dozens of flaming replies saying "this is not appropriate to Suspects." But that hasn't happened. It's been done so many times before, I think people have given up fighting that battle.
The hazard I did not expect: That someone, trying so hard to be helpful, would print out the message and hand it to an Arisia div head, who would mistake it as requests being personally made of her. The day before the con. I'm just concerned that I must look so high-maintenance. What kind of lame baby-bird mentality begs Arisia management to do errands the day before the con for a project that they had no warning about? They must get a lot of that-- "Oh, I can't go to Staples myself, I'm just a peon fan. And I just thought of this project but it's so fanishly great that you have to drop everything to get this done for me." Heh.
Knowing that we've all known that Arisia was coming for a very long time, I'm trying to be very meek about making last-minute requests of people who are running the con. I'm just blown away that they gave me a table.
