My body senses the cold and thinks it needs insulation.
Last night there were about 8 different desserts at the tree trimming party, and they were all entirely too interesting. So of course my weight was up this morning (to 133.8). Now I am craving a muffin. Really, really, really want a muffin.
What to do with this muffin craving?

Teach your body what to crave...
oh look, you got me started on the bran muffin rant
Date: 2008-12-08 05:19 pm (UTC)If I were at home today, I'd bake bran muffins myself, to make them healthy. But I'm at office. Nearby we have Dunkin' Donuts, whose bran muffins are a nutritional farce. They use mostly white flour, and add molasses or something like that to make the muffins dark without using much bran. You would consume an absurd number of calories to get to the recommended intake of fiber eating stuff along the lines of Dunkin' Donut's "bran" muffin.
And there's a grocery store close by too. The grocery store bran muffins might be equally bad; who knows, I don't think they have the nutrition profile labeling.
