heave-ho the shoes!

chhotiiI know how the shoe-thrower felt: I feel a shadow of the same feeling too, when I see Bush's stupid ugly monkey face. Except, of course, not living in Iraq, the problems are not so in my face, so my rage doesn't stay at the same level.
Hopefully the fellow won't get into too much trouble. I don't think the Iraqi government can keep him too long or mistreat him, because he has overwhelming public sympathy. But I don't know, for sure, that he wasn't turned over to the the American military. That could be bad: the Americans don't understand Iraqi culture, and might have mistaken it for an attempt to hurt the Prez, more than just a free-speech act.
Not a mistake Bush himself made: he understood fully well that it was just the Iraqi way to say "fuck you", and that it wasn't a serious attack. He just kind of laughed it off.
I would love to have a flying shoe user icon. But I don't think I have any software for making an animated GIF handy.
