Oh yes, and we HAVE to go skiing. At Sunday River, before March 2nd, specifically. Because last winter I bought a 2-day lift ticket, the second day of which could be any day for a year, figuring that surely we would go skiing again if we bothered to take the time to have fun, which we really should do.

Reasons that MUST GO SKIING doesn't suck:

1) Rich loves to ski. He should go more considering how much he enjoys it.
2) Sunday River has a day care + kiddo ski lesson deal. You drop off the kid in the morning, note the kid's shoe size when signing in, and the ski instructor takes the kid out for a one hour lesson sometime during the day. I think Sophia should have lessons in these kinds of activities starting while she's small.
3) I do enjoy myself on the bunny slope once I get started.
4) Skiing is actually not cold, if one has the proper clothes. MUST GO SKIING forces me to invest in the proper clothes, replacing gloves etc. that have gone missing, which makes me overall much more prepared to deal with winter where we live. (For example, I've been wearing the jacket I bought to go skiing all the time lately to get to work.)

But I've been procrastinating going skiing. Reasons the idea of skiing makes me procrastinate:

1) Cost.
2) Thinking I'm going to be cold.
3) Rich thinks I should be a little more daring about not doing pizza shape all the time with my skis, and get up some more speed. I am so chicken on skis. I get up to about 7 mph before getting nervous and putting on the snowplow. It doesn't help that the doctor told me that I should avoid sports that involve falling down a lot.

Anyway, but, MUST GO SKIING. Anyone else going to be on those slopes in the next few weeks?
