Does anyone know, how to go about finding out whether a business is going bankrupt? Assume you have some claim that the business owes you money.

I could call my lawyer and ask, but LJ advice (when it comes) is FREE, whereas asking the lawyer would be throwing good money after bad (if in fact bankruptcy is happening).

take them to small claims court right now on your own and find out?

my guess is that if they haven't filed yet, and you get a claim in, your now a creditor.
