Progress in camping trip planning:

chhotii0) Get reservation number for campsite to Dave-- well, suggested to Dave that he might want this, and reminded him of Rich's contact info. Now Not My Problem.
1) Find a moderate mountain to climb-- got suggestion from Nick, it seems ok. Directions copied down. We'll see, when the time comes, who-all wants to go.
2) Tent politics: Sweetie is dead-set on finding a really big tent, so that he can bunk with me and the guys, and still have plenty of room to stretch out. We'll go see what we can find in his grandpa's basement. Nothing to do before that excursion.
3) Get stuff for day-hike? No. Borrowing lumbar pack from marmota. Not venturing onto one of those "worst weather in the world" mountains, so don't need any gear more exotic than what I already have.
4) Laundry: still have to do that, will do that tonight, possibly late.
5) Food: discussed with Jill, compromises made; need to discuss the stew with Sweetie, and peek at the tomato soup recipe at home, before writing the shopping list. Shopping tomorrow, just before leaving.
6) Packing list: started; can be finished tonight, most efficiently while actually sorting through my stuff.
7) Transportation logistics: now we know when and where we pick up Jill. Done.
