chhotii: (caffeine)

I have dug up my notes on food to take to Arisia from last year.

Consulting this list, I need to acquire:
* Tasty Bite chick pea packets-- I thought that Trader Joe's would have these, but alas, they do not. (Mostly they just have self-branded stuff.) I hope I can find these.
* canned salmon-- I think I have some, but I might need a SMALLER can.
* pineapple juice in little cans
* sandwich bread
* sliced cheese? (Why did I decide that sliced cheese would be more useful than cheese sticks?)
* instant oatmeal
* peanut butter that doesn't separate at room temp
Also, I need to hard-boil a couple of eggs.
I am not going to bring chocolate-covered Espresso beans this year. Either I will try to keep caffeine consumption in check, or drag my butt to the con suite for my fix.

If I recall correctly, Arisia's con suite often has hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, lotsa cheese chunks, and more bread than anyone can possibly eat. at least I think it's Arisia's con suite that is full of food (or was it Boskone?)

Yeah, but I don't depend on the con suite to have what I want exactly when I want it. Different food items are put out when the volunteer thinks it will be a good idea, which may not be synced with my stomach.

As far as bread goes, Sophia and I are picky. We might have to prepare for the possibility that it's not exactly the kind of bread we want.

Oh, right. :)

See, I was thinking "but that can't be right, because Sophia hates cheese sandwiches." But oh yeah, I have to feed myself too.

Duh. :)

The Tasty Bite packets are sometimes found in supermarkets, but you'll be quite likely to find them or similar brands of stuff at the Harvest Coop. If there's a market like that somewhere up near you, I'd try one of those, or maybe a Whole Foods.

Also I have two extra boxes (I believe with four packets each) in our pantry of the lentil ones from Tasty Bite. Would you like me to bring them to Arisia for you?
