So, for the record, here's what Sophia and I did for each meal while at Arisia.
Friday dinner: Sophia had some absurdly overpriced fast food from the stand in the lobby. I ate the most perishable food that I had brought in the cooler (the remaining deli meat and cheese).
Saturday breakfast: Food that we brought along (oatmeal, fruit, pineapple juice).
Saturday lunch: Chick peas and rice in rice cooker.
Saturday dinner: A little more chick peas and rice; then Sophia mooched peanut butter and crackers in Benjamin's room, and much, much later I got some party junk food.
Sunday breakfast: Outrageously overpriced breakfast buffet in hotel restaurant.
Sunday lunch: Chick peas and rice in rice cooker.
Sunday dinner: Remaining chick peas and rice, and at the birthday party, a slice of pizza and a cupcake for each of us.
Monday breakfast: Bananas from con suite. Oatmeal packet that I had brought. Then a bunch of food that Janet had brought to the hotel: bread, cream cheese, more bananas, carrots.
Monday lunch: Criminally overpriced snack from Starbucks for Sophia; nothing for me.
Just to remind myself what does work, and that it's still not a satisfactory solution...
Also note: One year the con suite smelled really bad; and now Sophia refuses to eat anything from there.
