update, and the plan

Last night at 7:30 Mandeep, the very temporary tenant, was supposed to meet me and sign the lease. This was after she had cancelled a previous meeting time... 15 minutes after we were supposed to meet. At 7:45, no Mandeep, and I texted her. At 8:00 (the time at which I told her I would stop being available), I called, got voice mail. Didn't leave a voice mail, but figured she would figure it out, based on my previous text. Frankly I was too angry to leave a polite voice mail. I had not gone to Wilmington after Sophia got out of school, which felt like it would have been productive. I hadn't taken Sophia to see the school play, and so we will have to do that tonight. All because of trying to meet Mandeep on her schedule. When I still hadn't heard from her this morning, I figured she was backing out of the deal in a very passive way. I was OK with that: it would make moving easier, and I do love sitting on the balcony of the new apartment.
Then mid-morning today I got a text from Mandeep: "I really apologize, was stuck at work in an emergency, went off my mind, can we keep it for tomorrow, very sorry again." Well, OK then. If she really really wants to give me that much money to crash in my apartment for a month. I suppose that will actually more than cover having to do my own move in more of a hurry. But I'm not bending backwards for her any more. I sent her a snippy e-mail saying that I was really busy, had to do other things that I hadn't gotten to because I was waiting for her, but I would see if I could fit in meeting with her. She wasn't offended by this. I guess she really does want the apartment.
Part of resolving not to bend over backwards for her is that I'm going to do what I'm going to do with the furniture, and she can like it or lump it. If we can get the table and shelf moved tomorrow morning, it makes me less stressed about the moving I'll have to do at the end of June. Really, the big shelving unit and unreasonably heavy table are the most scary pieces of furniture I have in the apartment. I told Mandeep that I'm probably bringing those things over on Saturday morning, and if she decides to be displeased... well, I've run out of motivation to please her. I think we have enough people who have penciled in doing my moving thing tomorrow, that many hands will make light work.
So, here's the plan: SATURDAY morning, at 10:30, let's converge at my apartment and move the table and shelving unit. (Edited: Saturday! Yes Saturday! Not tomorrow!!! Sorry about any confusion. Brain not working so well these days. :( )
1) Can someone bring

2) Does someone have a rubber mallet? If not I'll have to get one.
Thank you!
