Here's the info from my (former) state rep on an upcoming MBTA public meeting:
MBTA D Line Public Meeting
Monday September 23, 6:00pm, Newton Free Library, 330 Homer St, Newton
The MBTA will be detailing plans to improve D Line quality of service, including a presentation and the opportunity for questions and suggestions. To arrive by public transit, you can take the 59 bus from Walnut St @ Lincoln St, near but not at the Newton Highlands D Line station. Note that the 5:52pm scheduled pickup may result in late arrival to the meeting, so consider trying to make the earlier scheduled bus at 5:13pm.
It sounds like when they picked the meeting location time, the MBTA did not consider the logistics of people who would need to arrive via the D line. I will most likely drive to this meeting. What kind of ass-hattery is this, that the D line meeting is more accessible to people who can drive to the meeting than to people who absolutely depend on public transit.
