Quick notes on great food experiences of last night:
1) Chili #6, with rice. Normally I'm not a fan of meaty non-bean chili, but this was to die for. Real chunks of meat (not hamburg) with incredible flavor. Wonderfully hot, too.
2) Cinnamon candy hearts ice cream. Normally I'm not a fan of candy in my ice cream, but the ice cream around the candy was so delicious (with cinnamon oil) that I could forgive the crunchy bits.
3) Shellacked (?) pecans. I'm not sure I have the name right. Pecans with a slightly spicy-hot candy coating. Addictive.
4) Hot chocolate pudding, i.e. cold pudding with a kick. Yum!
5) Corn bread with jalapenos
6) Enough wine to make a happy Alex
7) amazing mac & cheese that I only had about 2 noodles of, because the pan had been consumed other than what was stuck to the sides (and I was stuffed by that point anyway) but next time roozle is making mac & cheese I need to get there early and make a beeline for it.
...many other nice food things in addition, those were just the highlights.
