Bush has acted like a madman-- neglecting the anti-terrorist efforts initiated by the Clinton administration, leaving us vulnerable to the attacks of 9/11; redirecting our nation's anti-terrorist efforts into an irrelevant, senseless and illegal war against Iraq, and an attack on the civil liberties of our own people; fostering an environment in which the torture and sexual humiliation of prisoners is tolerated, in violation of international law; caused people around the world to hate us and our allies to distance themselves from us, completely pissing away the sympathy of the world we had right after 9/11; and rolled back years of progress on environmental and labor standards.
Just try to imagine what he would do with a second term! This is (supposedly) a democracy, so we, the American people, have only ourselves to blame for whatever horrors this man unleashes in a second term.
OK, here's the meme: copy this list, below, of things that you can do to try to prevent a hellish second GWB term. Add any more items you can think of. Boldface the items YOU have already done.
Register to vote!!!!!
Give money to Kerry for President
Give money to a political action committee that opposes Bush (moveon.org, League of Conservation Voters, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, etc.)
Give money to the DNC
Display an anti-Bush bumper sticker
Display a John Kerry bumper sticker
Display a John Kerry lawn sign
Host a house party
Attend a house party
Register other people to vote
Write letters to swing-state non-voters encouraging them to vote (see the MMOB site for details)
Write letters to the editor responding to biased media
Canvas door-to-door
Signed a petition in favor of the proposed legislation to fix problems with electronic voting (bills S 1980 and H 2239??? check that)
Hug another activist!
