LJ bug?

One instance reported so far of LJ deleting a comment someone left in my journal, without my ever seeing it. Erk.

Yet another way LJ can cause people to be needlessly miffed at each other. Someone was left wondering "why did she delete my comment?"

I'm having trouble imagining a circumstance in which I would delete a comment. Well, I've deleted my own posts, and there go the comments with them, but that's because of what I've said, not what you've said.

I think it was local browser weirdness and the comment never actually posted, even though it looked like it had. Phooey, there goes my chance to have an lj-drama.

I've deleted comments and posts because of misspellings or errors, because I'm an anal-retentive perfectionist. That's about it. :)

I've deleted insulting comments, but I have a hunch that people knew exactly why they were deleted. If they're bright, they also figured out why they were unfriended after making several comments I felt I didn't need in my life.
