The text of the ruling on the MBTA case

As I thought based on what I heard on the radio-- the scope of the decision is limited to the 4 days of the convention. Now that the convention is over, the ruling is totally irrelevant. So, as far as I know, if the MBTA is going forward with searches, they do not have the OK of the courts.

You can bet they'll fight like hell to keep searching people, though. Which means that it's just a matter of time until the lawsuits start coming.

i heard on the radio that washington and new york have "increased" security, it's there to stay, and to just get used to it. deal.

well. can't wait until the court cases.
