chhotiiI had been staying out of the garden, spooked by the possibility that either garden plot's proximity to the ancient barn or the use of pesticides on the apple orchard that used to be here posed a risk of hazardous lead levels in the soil.
Yesterday's mail brought the soil testing lab report from UMass. "Lead level is LOW"!!! Yippee! Woo-hoo! Back to playing in dirt! I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of drbitch's seed catalogs in December, then for some serious vegetable fantasies.
