The Arisia website says of Arisia 2009 "This was the largest Arisia to date." I infer from that the 4 day con concept will be judged a success, and next year's will be 4 days long too? What do the SMOF have to say on this issue?

I guess I count as a SMOF, in that I do know that next year's Arisia has already been announced for 4 days (January 15-18, 2010).

Not to speak for anyone but myself, but I thought the 4 day concept was a success when we compared 2007 (3 days) and 2008 (the first 4 day con). It's somewhat counter-intuitive but several operational issues of the convention are eased by having 4 days instead of 3.
